High Bickington were Buckland's opponents for the second week running and soon wished this was not the case. After 15 minutes of relentless pressure the visitors took the lead as a fine pass from Vinny Bott was just touched past the advancing keeper by Ed Jonckheere. The poaching instincts of Leon Appleton once again came to the fore as he prodded the loose ball into the net from close range. Only minutes later Buckland doubled their lead as a speculative lobb by Ed Jonckheere, from fully 30yds, dropped just under the crossbar. Buckland held the greater possession during the remainder of the opening period with the home side only occasionally venturing into their opponents half only to be stopped by a well drilled Buckland defence.
After 10 minutes of the second period the Buckland Manager decided to rest players, with yet another match scheduled for the following day. John Stanton replaced the tiring Ed Jonckheere and ten minutes later both Jake Lomax and Simon O'Dell also entering the action. Midway through the half the fresh legs paid dividends as Jake Lomax's pace took him into the High Bickington area, with his shot flying across the goalmouth to be met by Simon Adams who fired past the keeper from 6yds. Minutes later the same combination of players opened up the home defence once again. Jake Lomax sprinting onto a through ball and slotting a fine pass across the goalmouth for Simon Adams to slide the ball into the net. Late in the game a fine passing move was finished as Simon Adams flicked the ball into the path of Simon O'Dell whose superbly stuck shot from 15yds hit the back of the net to give Buckland a convincing winning margin.
