Buckland dominated the opening half and were rewarded when Simon Adams eventually evaded the linesman's flag to calmly shoot past the keeper after 35 minutes. Sporting came out the stronger in the second period and equalised within 3 minutes and took the lead 10 minutes later from the spot following a contentious penalty for handball. Buckland lifted their game and levelled after 20 minutes as defender Kevan Parker scored a rare goal with a stunning drive from 20yds. Teenagers Daniel Vanstone and Arran Brooks performed well for Buckland, with Brooks capping a man of the match performance with a winning strike 10 minutes from time again from 20yds.
