Match Report

Buckland found themselves two goals in arrears within the opening 30 minutes. Firstly, a deflected shot after 15 minutes and secondly, a headed goal 10 minutes later seemed to be handing 'Admirals the points. Fortunately, new found commitment from the visitors kept the Buckland side pressing forward. With debutant Joe Brewer settling into the side alongside striker Simon Leach, Buckland always posed a threat. A fine ball from deep in defence from centre half Simon Adams found Martin Rawle in space 20yds into the opposition half on 35 minutes. In only his third game, Martin Rawle pushed into the opposition penalty area and with a neat finish cut 'Admirals lead, just before the break.

Buckland held their own and started to create chances up to the midpoint of the second half, until their keeper misjudged a cross-cum shot that slipped in at the front post with the keeper flapping at fresh air. At 3 -1 down the game once again, should have been over, but at present Buckland seem to have a never say die attitude. Two goals in the last 10 minutes, from striker Simon Leach, saved the day. The equalising goal coming only 3 minutes from time. to the delight of the previously embarrassed goalkeeper and Manager, John Adams.

Man of the Martch: Simon Leach (striker)
