Match Report

The game was evenly contested during the first period, although extremely niggly as Torrington continually disputed every decision by the officials. No goals were scored until 15 minutes into the second half when Torrington scored from the penalty spot following a trip on their centre forward. This was the only direct shot on goal by the visitors in the preceding period.

Buckland equalised 10 minutes later with Ed Jonckheere scoring from close range. A spot kick was awarded 5 minutes later to Buckland, following another trip. Steve Bennett put the home side ahead from the resulting spot kick. Buckland appeared to be on course for victory until 4 minutes from time as yet another penalty was awarded for a trip. Although this time the spot kick was hotly disputed as the contact was definitely outside the box.
