Match Report

Simon Adams stunned the Chittle' side by scoring in the opening minute. A poor clearance from the Buckland keeper 2 minutes later allowed the visitors centre forward to smash home an equaliser. Buckland then had what seemed a good goal disallowed for offside on 15 minutes before adding a second as a defender turned a cross into his own net after 25 minutes.

The second half was controlled by the home side who created chance after chance. The visitors were kept in the match by a linesman who seemed unable to keep his flag lowered!!! On 25 minutes a through pass from the visitors midfield was flagged offside by the Buckland linesman before the Chittle' player slotted the ball into the net. Although the ref had been giving every decision the opposition linesman made, he over-ruled the Buckland flag and awarded the goal to the disbelief of the home side.

Once again several good opportunities were spurned by Buckland before Chittle' won the match with a wickedly deflected shot in the last minute of the game.

This match more than proved the old saying, "that when you're at the bottom, nothing seems to go your way".

Man of the Match: Phil Short (midfield)
