  • Venue: Away
  • Result: Drew 3-3
  • Scorers: Simon Adams, Steven Bennett, Gary Tanton

Match Report

The home side opened the scoring after ten minutes direct from a free kick just outside the Buckland penalty area. Within seconds of the restart Steve Bennett eluded the offside trap and slotted the ball past a static keeper to level the scores. A goalmouth melee ten minutes later ended with Gary Tanton smashing the ball into the net from 10yds to double the tally. A third goal from the trusty right foot of Simon Adams minutes later should have sealed victory for Buckland. Unfortunately Grosvenor had other ideas and hit back with a goal on the stroke of half time.

The second period was evenly contested and looked to be ending in Buckland’s favour until 3 minutes from time when a corner kick from Grosvenor was turned into his own net by a Buckland defender.

Man of the Match: Vincent Bott (midfield)
